The Sporting Club Sardinia specializes in courses especially designed for children between 8 and 14 years old.
These courses last a week: in which time, kids learn both the theory and the practice of sailing a small boat. Between the lessons, we organise games and entertainments to give the guys the chance to have fun together.

Our courses are organized according to age brackets, so that children stay with others their own age.

Guides and Instructors
During sailing lessons children are constantly followed by a federal instructor and an assistant instructor for each 4-5 participants. On the beach, there is always a guide for every 8 children to keep an eye on them and organise activites.
Program
The typical day is organized as follows
- 8 a.m.: wake up and transfer to the beach
- From 9 to 9:30 a.m.: breakfast
- From 9:30 to 12:30 a.m.: sailing lessons
- From 1 to 2:30 p.m.: lunch, movies and games
- From 3 to 6 p.m.: sailing lesson
- From 6 to 9 p.m.: recreational activities, dinner and games
Accommodation
The accommodation is in Porto Pollo (
Palau) with 6/8 bed appartments, where also the instructors lodge. The apartments are just behind Porto Pollo beach. The sailing school can be reached on foot and there’s no need to cross any street. All meals are available in the school restaurant.
Getting here
Flights from London to Olbia are available with Easyjet. Normally, outward flights leave in the afternoon, while return flights are in the morning. Details on timetables will be available afterwards.

In order to take advantage of concessional fares you need to book as soon as possible, paying in advance.
Every child must carry an identity card.
Participation fee:
Euros 1.045,00 (codes: 0824 B, 0825 B, 0826 B)
Euros 1.096,00 (codes: 0827 B, 0828 B, 0829 B)
The fee includes the whole sailing course, teaching material, boat and sail equipment usage, excursions, full board accommodation for a week, FIV-card, instructor.
The fee doesn’t include extras (we recommend not to give your children more than 50-70 Euros).
Documents to be brought upon enrolling:
- Medical certificate, clean bill of health
- Copy of the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)
- Copy of the identity card
- Copy of the National Insurance Number
Payment
Payments will be made as follows:
- Euros 500.00 in advance (+ 200.00 Euros for the trip) to be paid upon enrolling.
- Balance within 30 days before the beginning of the course.

Requirements
To be able to swim and feel at ease in the water.
Compulsory personal equipment
A part from necessary items, such as towels and bedding, all the participants must carry along a bag with:
- Jacket
- Sweatshirt
- Synthetic T-shirt
- Gloves
- Bathing suit
- Towel
- Sailing boots
- Sun-cream and sun glasses
- Basic medicaments
- Sailing knife
Attention
Please note that children aren't allowed to use mobile phones and receive calls.
At the beginning of the course they can make a call from the school telephone. Starting from the first day, every two days our staff will call one parent who will contact the other parents and tell them the news.
